FROM A NEW ELDEN RING STANDALONE TO A FRESH CHAPTER OF THE DOOM FRANCHISE, THESE ARE THE TOP TITLES COMING YOUR WAY SOON
-

A NEW month has arrived, bringing with it the promise of warmer weather and taking us a step closer to summer.
May also boasts two gloriously long weekends, as we get two Bank Holidays to spend with our families.
If all that wasn't enough, there's also a smattering of new games hitting the market.
Traditionally a slower month for releases, this May does herald the arrival of some big hitters - most notably the new Doom game.
There are chills with The Midnight Walk, arriving just after the first May Bank Holiday; a new collection of fighting games from Capcom arrives mid month, and Elden Ring fans get a new standalone title as we head into June.
The Midnight Walk
(PEGI 16) PS5, PC
Release: May 8
Call me superficial, but my head is easily turned by a game's looks - and with its Tim Burton-esque vibes, this instantly caught my attention.
The Midnight Walk sees you play as The Burnt One, who befriends Potboy, a lost lantern creature.
Together you have to survive encounters with monsters as you make your way through a weird and wonderful world.
With five tales to play through, the game promises a host of incredible characters.
Graphically it looks stunning, the landscape handcrafted with real clay and animated in a stop motion style.
