Nursery told it ‘requires improvement’ by Ofsted

Children enjoy some outside fun while while at the nursery.

Kingwood Children @ Muddifords Court, which cares for 199 children, has had its rating downgraded from good to requires improvement following a visit on Wednesday, June 4.

But a nursery boss said the Ofsted inspectors do not always see what they are striving to achieve and prased the hard work and dedication of staff.

Business partner at Kingwood Children Naeve Dancer said: “We are proud of our incredible team which works tirelessly every day and of the families who continue to support us, including many new ones who have recently joined.

“Ofsted may not always see what we are striving to achieve for children, but our staff who show up with dedication every day, and our parents who trust us with their children, certainly do. Devon County Council has recently funded our brand new baby room, and it would not invest in a provider it did not believe in.

“There are, of course, areas we will reflect on and strengthen, but we are coming away from this report with the utmost pride and praise for our exceptional team and the families who stand with us.

“This report has not fazed us, nor has it led to a single family leaving. Our focus remains on delivering the very best for our children, and that is where our energy and pride will always be.
