Gosling named best restaurant in the county

MANY restaurant brands and owners work for decades to achieve critical recognition for their offerings, with some going their whole career not getting their moment in the spotlight.

But one restaurant in Woking has enjoyed an astounding rise to the top - being named best restaurant in Surrey in the 2025 Muddy Stilettos awards, despite only opening in late 2023.

The Gosling has beaten out top-quality restaurants across Surrey, including some Michelin-starred establishments, to be named best of the best, despite only opening in November 2023.

The Muddy Stilettos awards, which are now in their 12th year, aim to "shine a light on brilliant lifestyle indies that make our lives so much more fun and vibrant". The awards are free to entire, and each year they list a winner and four runners-up in each of 21 categories such as bars, casual dining establishments, destination pubs, children's businesses, and more.

The Gosling is located just outside Woking, on the edge of scenic Horsell Common, and offers all-day dining, serving modern European cuisine, as well as a bar which offers freshly made cocktails and drinks.
