Station car park nears closure for new homes

A KEY Guildford car park will be closing for good as part of a major housing project that will bring 179 homes to the town.

From Thursday, December 4, Guildford Railway Station’s long stay car park will close to allow the next stage of the station development to take place.

Instead, drivers will be encouraged to use Farnham Road public car park, which is a five-minute walk from the station. From Mondays to Saturdays the maximum daily charge is £10, while on Sundays it is £8.

Alternatively, motorists can use the Bedford Road multi-storey car park, which is around a 10-minute walk away. From Mondays to Saturdays, it costs £16 to park there for more than six hours.
