Horses cause mane line disruption

SOME horses decided to take a leisurely stroll along one of Surrey’s busiest railway lines last Friday, blocking all trains in the area for a number of hours.

South Western Rail said at around 10.30am that due to “animals on the railway” all lines between Guildford and Woking had been blocked. This left train users forced to use buses while the incident was resolved.
