Idah must outdo Maeda and take centre stage

CELTIC have been told they’ve already got the perfect striker to fill Kyogo Furuhashi’s boots.
And Frank McAvennie — who helped the club win the double in their centenary season in 1988 — has challenged £9million frontman Adam Idah to grab the jersey and make it his own this season.
The Republic of Ireland powerhouse netted 20 goals in his first full campaign at Parkhead, but has yet to cement a regular starting slot.
Manager Brendan Rodgers has made no secret of the fact he wants to add more firepower this summer.
But McAvennie, below, has urged Rodgers to give ex-Norwich City star Idah the chance to show he can be the main man.
He said: “I’m looking for Adam to step up this year.
“He didn’t have a preseason last year. I know by playing the game that you are always on the back foot if you don’t have a preseason.
“He's young, he’s learning and I think he’s got the capabilities to be a top, top striker. I really do.
He’s got everything in his locker. He’s just got to use it.
