Around 3,000 Pompey fans will be impacted for Saints' Fratton visit

Pompey are yet to decide what price they'll place on an away ticket for January's south coast derby at Fratton Park.

The Blues are aware that whatever figure they put on the 2,700 tickets Southampton will be allocated in the Milton End will impact a similar number of home fans

Rules stipulate that whatever price a host club charges away fans must be reciprocated for those supporters sitting in like-for-like seats in the home end.

That means non-season-ticket fans sitting in the Fratton End or wings of both the North and South Stands could see their ticket price increase if Pompey decide to follow Southampton's lead for the derby at St Mary's in September.

That day, the Saints increased the price of their away tickets by £10 for any Pompey fan aged 18 or above.

According to the Portsmouth Supporters' Trust, Saints also 'turned down' a reciprocal pricing arrangement proposed by the Blues that would have seen away fans pay less for their match-day tickets at both of this season's derbies.
