'People say how can this person be a firefighter, but when it comes to the job I'm very serious'

NOTTS firefighter Tomasz Wisniewski has had judges in stitches on a dance show, hosted an outrageous dinner party where he burned the food and was dubbed a snake when he succumbed to temptation trekking through a jungle.

The self-confessed TV reality show addict has won a prize pot totalling £25,000 but he says it's not about the money.
He said: "I love being in the spotlight on the TV, I love the experience you get from it. When I get older, I would like to reflect on my life and think I've got such amazing memories. I think it's quite cool. It's a massive buzz.
"It gives you an experience you can't buy. You make a lot of friends, you get to travel to different countries and it's the excitement and the opportunities you can get out of it."
The 40-year-old Polish man, who couldn't speak a word of English when he came to the UK in 2005, has appeared on popular programmes such as Come Dine With Me, Total Wipeout and So You Think You Can Dance. He also got to live in the Big Brother house for a week when he was picked in reserve.
Most recently, it was Channel 4's Tempting Fortune, where 12 strangers were presented with enticing luxuries on an arduous 18-day trek through a Malaysian jungle but each time they succumbed, the price of the treat was deducted from the £300,000 prize pot.
Fresh from last month's National Reality TV Awards in London, where Tempting Fortune won best international series, we caught up with 40-year-old Tomasz at his home in Sherwood.
A rift between contestants continued long after filming ended, with one of them sitting on a different table at the awards ceremony and somebody swiping the trophy.
"There was one trophy for 12 people. Somebody, one of us 12, took it and no one knows where it is. That's how friendly we are. I messaged on the group chat: where is the trophy? And no one says anything," he says.
