Council worker mum pulled knife on woman in street and threatened to kill her

A MUM chased a woman with a knife and threatened to kill her.

Nottingham Crown Court heard how Jasmine Thom shouted "you're killing my dad, I'll kill you" at the victim before coming for her carrying the blade.

In a statement, the 37-year-old Nottinghamshire County Council worker's victim said she had "never met" the defendant before and the incident left her "scared to leave her own address".

Imposing a nine-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, Judge Michael Auty KC said: "Don't imagine for one moment there's not a serious aspect to this because there is a genuine and legitimate concern from the public about anyone who carries a knife.

"There is obviously a massive background to this in that your father, who you obviously care for deeply, having issues with a number of other individuals, some of whom were prosecution witnesses but who went sour.
