NOTTINGHAM City Council says its staff worked with a "Dunkirk spirit" to get through a major power cut that affected key services.

A "once-in-a-lifetime" electrical failure saw power go out at the city council's Loxley House HQ for around a week in March, causing disruption to waste collections and Jobcentre appointments.
