PLAY SPACE MADE MORE ACCESSIBLE AND ENJOYABLE FOR VISITORS
A PLAYGROUND near Lincoln has been modernised and brought up to date making it more accessible and enjoyable for visitors.
The outside playground at Whisby Natural World Centre, in North Hykeham has a great sand and play area alongside some adventure space and water play that is all outside, and is completely free to use.
A local teacher has described the new facility as a “great asset for residents of North Kesteven District Council” and “well needed”.
Whisby has been welcoming nature-loving visitors for some 20 years, and has now had a colourful revamp to ensure it remains a family favourite for years to come.
Features within the play area have been refurbished and enhanced, as well as new play equipment being added. A £26,080 grant from a private donor funded the work.
Two major new pieces of equipment are a colourful Mini Beast Play Panel and an interactive Adventure Sensory Den, highlighting the site's status as a nature reserve.
