INCREASED POLICE PRESENCE AS INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
POLICE are continuing to appeal for information a week after a serious sexual attack in woods, with a new team leading the “top priority” investigation.
Police were called at 11.53am on Thursday, October 2, following a report that a woman had been attacked by a stranger in Grace Dieu Woods - also known as Thringstone Woods - near Coalville.
The inquiry has identified the offence took place around 11am.
Since the incident, a team of detectives and police staff have been carrying out extensive inquiries, including viewing hours of CCTV footage, and speaking to witnesses in order to try to identify the individual responsible.
