Eeles: I always had faith that boss Brehaut would deliver

JON Eeles insisted he never once thought about removing Josh Brehaut from the manager's position at Leek Town despite going through a tough time last season.
The Blues chairman stuck by Brehaut when the club were languishing in the relegation zone of the Northern Premier League Premier Division table.
That stance proved the right one as the club picked up and went on a storming run after Christmas.
"I think Josh has done really well," said Eeles of Brehaut.
"He's had some difficult times and he has had to do a bit of soul searching. But he came through it and he will be better for it and he would say that himself. It's all part of the learning experience.
"Even at Christmas he said to me, 'look we're not far away from being a good side, it just needs to click' and I think the game at Macclesfield [won 1-0], was proof of that. Everybody had written us off, we were second from bottom and they [Macclesfield] took us for granted and we finished up being the only team to beat them at their place."
