It's one of those Irish football moments captured in time, but the type that are sadly so few and far between nowadays.

Paddy McCarthy remembers jumping around a bar in Santa Ponsa when Niall Quinn nodded the ball down to Keane to beat Oliver Kahn at close range.

And he won't forget the penalty shootout against Spain either, as his wife Niamh told him she was pregnant with their first child ahead of that last 16 encounter.

But while Ireland have qualified for two European Championships since then, in 2012 and 2016, World Cup memories are consigned to history ..... 23 years and counting.
