THEY are among his most treasured saves but today Pat Jennings is parting with the famous shirts he has collected during his illustrious career as a goalie.

The Northern Ireland star wore some of them in FA Cup finals while others once belonged to football heroes such as George Best and Jimmy Greaves, or were swapped with opponents after matches.

The goalkeeping legend, 80, said it was the right time to sell them, adding: "I won't be attending the auction.

"I won't follow it online either. I will just be waiting for the phone call at the end of the day to see what sold and what they made."
