SILVER: Meabh Cahalane ahead of Sunday's decider

- BY KARL O'KANE

MEABH Cahalane knows how older brother Damien and the Cork hurlers feel.

Turning up at Croke Park for an All-Ireland final and not playing to your full ability.

But the 29-year-old, who made her debut back in 2015, was part of a Cork camogie squad that turned it around in style, so she knows what's possible.

This Sunday they'll go after a brilliant three-in-a-row, when they face Galway at Croke Park in the All-Ireland senior final.

Cahalane was at the recent All-Ireland hurling final, when Cork didn’t show up for the second half and were well beaten by underdogs Tipperary.

It was their second All-Ireland final defeat in a row and third in five years, meaning their wait for a Liam MacCarthy Cup will stretch into a 21st season.

Her brother Damien — the eldest of seven — played in the decider as the Rebels crashed to a 15-point defeat.
