Determined team can't eke out a late winner on belated Palmerston return

Queens were back at Palmerston for their first home game in almost a month as Cove Rangers made the trip in league one.

Confident after their Scottish Cup win over St Johnstone, the visitors made a quick start to the game and Matty Douglas had to make a good challenge in the opening five minutes.

But Queens hit back and as Brennan Dickenson tried to deliver into the box, Michale Doyle blocked.

As both sides tried to make a breakthrough, Lewis O'Donnell had an effort cleared for Paul Hartley's men while Kurtis Guthrie and Dickenson looked a threat for the hosts.
