Warriors and Wolves have met in States before... and it was EXPLOSIVE

WHEN Wigan and Warrington do battle in Las Vegas this weekend, it won't be the first time they have locked horns in the States.

The two clubs first tried firing up rugby league over there in 1989 - and a teenage Denis Betts was in the thick of the action.

'The Great American Challenge' took place at Milwaukee County Stadium - home then to baseball's Brewers and occasionally to the NFL's Packers - with Wigan, featuring legends like Ellery Hanley, Shaun Edwards and Andy Gregory, winning a fearsome match 12-5.
