THE BRITs have already turned BRAT thanks to Charli XCX nabbing an earlybird gong.

Three days before the biggest night in the UK music calendar, the event's most-nominated artist has been named Songwriter Of The Year.

Expert judges including Ed Sheeran and Raye decided Charli's exceptional songwriting talent was undeniable.

Charli believes BRAT's success - over a decade into her career - is down to running with her most silly ideas.
