A GROUP of 80 overweight footballers lost nearly half a tonne in a year.

The MAN v FAT footie club helped its players shed a whopping 1,000 pounds of excess flab - or 73 stone - across 2024.

The group in Sutton, south-west London, is part of a national initiative to help blokes frustrated at slimming clubs' focus on women.
