A child of no-marks is never a celebrity

Can someone explain why Brooklyn Beckham played in the "celebrity" opening at the Ryder Cup, how is he a celebrity?

He's the son of the miserable, non smiling, non singing member of the Spice Girls. The son of squeaky voiced, famous for kicking a football and bugger all else other than peddling crap for a fee.
