Severe damage as two refuse workers are seriously injured and colleague in his 60s killed

- BY STEPHANIE WAREHAM

A MAN was killed and two others were injured after a bin lorry smashed into a house, sparking major destruction.

The victim, in his 60s, was a passenger in the lorry that ploughed into the side of a home, leaving bricks and rubble strewn across a road at 6.40am yesterday.

Emergency services raced to the scene after the vehicle lost control and hit the property, which was empty at the time.
