Man jailed for biting cop died in a bail hostel

A MAN who bit and clawed police officers at Birmingham New Street Station and attacked a staff member later died at a bail hostel, it has been revealed.
Kurt Broadbent, of St Johns Road, Birmingham, was found dead at Burdett Lodge Approved Premises, run by the Ministry of Justice in Derby, on June 15 last year, just days after being released from prison.
The 30-year-old was said to have died from solvent abuse at the centre, which is used to accommodate offenders after they are released on licence from prison.
