Horror as young siblings die during family holiday

BROTHER AND SISTER WERE SWEPT AWAY BY THE SEA IN SPAIN
TWO siblings who drowned while on holiday with their parents in Spain were from Birmingham, their aunty has confirmed.
Ameiya, 13, and her 11-year-old brother, Ricardo Junior, from Erdington, lost their lives during a family holiday in Salou.
Emergency services were called to Llarga beach, near Tarragona, shortly after 8.45pm on Tuesday, Catalonia’s Civil Protection agency said.
The siblings, described by loved ones as “beautiful” and “bright’, were given treatment following the “tragic incident at sea” but did not pull through.
