PUB APOLOGISES TO FESTIVE DINERS AFTER ‘MAJOR TECHNICAL ISSUES’
The White Horse in Balsall Common
ANGRY families went hungry on Christmas Day after claiming they turned up at a Midlands pub to be greeted by chaos.
The White Horse, in Balsall Common, near Solihull, has apologised to diners and blamed “major technical issues” which sparked a “domino effect”.
Customer Rebecca Martin said she was “extremely disappointed” by the experience which left one relative “in tears”.
She had booked Christmas lunch for eight people but said it descended into “chaos”.
Rebecca said: “We had paid in full, in advance. On arrival, however, we were met with complete chaos.
“Before even entering the pub, other diners in the car park informed us the restaurant had been closed and customers were being turned away.
“Inside, the scene was exactly as you might imagine - a restaurant full of angry and distressed diners, all being told no-one could be served.
“There had been no phone call, no prior communication of any kind, and to date no refund has been issued.
