SADISTIC 'HOUSE OF HORRORS' DISPLAY IS SICKENING, SAYS CHARITY

- FILIPA GASPAR News Reporter

Anger over display of Wests' tools and items

ITEMS from serial killers Fred and Rose West's notorious 'House of Horrors' are causing a stir as part of a display that has attracted condemnation for being 'sickening.

It features grim relics like torture whips and the very tie Fred used to end the lives of victims.

The exhibition is at Littledean Jail in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, where visitors can see artefacts retrieved from 25 Cromwell Street, the residence of the infamous killers.

Among the objects is a fork and spade believed to have been used to burytheir victims.

The items sparked a backlash from victim support groups who condemned the exhibit as 'sadistic!

Fred West killed himself in Birmingham’s Winson Green prison in 1995. Rose West is still alive, aged 71, and incarcerated in HM Prison New Hall in West Yorkshire.

The man behind the exhibition, however, rebuffed claims that he's venerating the couple's crimes, pointing out that Fred and Rose West's acts were “evil beyond evil”.

The Gloucester home where nine young women’s remains were found, was demolished in 1996.
