BLACK SABBATH have led tributes from global stars to their singer Ozzy Osbourne, who died yesterday.

'A GLORIOUS WAY TO SAY GOODBYE'

The band posted an image of Ozzy on stage at his final gig in Birmingham earlier this month on their Instagram page, and wrote simply: "Ozzy Forever"

Black Sabbath co-founder Tony Iommi said he "can't really find the words" following the "heartbreaking news".

In a social media post, Iommi said: "I just can't believe it! My dear dear friend Ozzy has passed away only weeks after our show at Villa Park.

"It's just such heartbreaking news that I can't really find the words; there won't ever be another like him. Geezer, Bill and myself have lost our brother."

Black Sabbath bassist Terence "Geezer" Butler said he was "so glad" he was able to perform a final time with Ozzy.

Butler said: "Goodbye dear friend - thanks for all those years - we had some great fun. Four kids from Aston - who'd have thought, eh? So glad we got to do it one last time, back in Aston. Love you."
