No more 'uncles' and 'aunties', promises DoPA

>>The Department of Provincial Administration (DoPA) has issued a letter advising officials to address individuals receiving government services using formal titles or appropriate terms.
The directive follows a complaint to the Office of the Prime Minister by a member of the public who found the use of the informal terms Pa (aunt) and Loong (uncle) by officials at one-stop service centres in shopping malls to be inappropriate.
The complainant recommended officials instead use formal titles such as “Khun” [Mr/Ms] or Khun Look-kha [Mr/Ms Customer].
