BoB's very own Time Lord recalls a honeymoon with a difference, suffering for his art and his wish to be on the right side of the law
-
On 20 September 1982, my wife, Marion, and I got married in Oxford. We then set off on our honeymoon to Burnley. An unusual destination for a newly married couple, I concede but after we had set the date for our lovely quiet wedding, the offer of a job had come my way that started the day after the planned ceremony. We agreed that an episode of Juliet Bravo was not a challenge to be turned down, so we booked into a rather splendid country hotel nearby and, while I was filming in and around Blackburn and Burnley, Marion and our red setter Cleo (who had been our only invited guest and best girl at the register office) had some lovely long walks on the local moors.
