The design of educational institutions is rarely spotlighted, which is why we felt compelled to do so this issue. A study showed that well-designed classrooms can improve pupil performance by 16 percent. The onus is therefore on architects to advise educators to get the basic physical factors of these spaces right, and provide a conducive environment for learning and development.
Elsewhere in Issue 104, we summarise our visit to the Salone del Mobile 2018 in Milan, Italy through an in-depth fair report.
