A journey to Jaffna, 30 years after leaving the peninsula to see how the northern part of the Country had recovered after the long lasting conflict that ended four years ago.

Gems, both precious and semi- precious, are a wonderful Sri Lankan resource. Not only do they bring foreign exchange to the country, but also renown. We even posses a City of Gems! That’s Ratnapura which is the centre of mining and selling of stones in the rough.
The “Good Market” set up at Diyatha Uyana on Thursdays sell in their own words, products that are “Good for the Planet, Good for the Country and Good for You”.
Pettah, one of the busiest places in Colombo houses one of the best preserved quintessential icons of Sri Lanka’s Dutch occupation, the Dutch Period Museum.
