Usually held for a limited time, at most a week, the venue for “pop-ups” are star hotels, restaurants and luxury malls. When organising “pop-ups”, great care is taken to replicate an exact and distinctive experience. In the case of pop-up restaurants, the chef accompanied by selected staff travel to the destination with the required ingredients, including fresh seafood, spices and even the utensils.
'The 'Sandakadapahana' or Moonstone is an exquisite aspect of ancient Sri Lankan art and sculpture. It represents the artistic skills and expertise of artists of a bygone era. Found mostly in notable historical sites of the Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Kandyan period, the moonstones of each era differ in terms of pattern, motif and even shape.
