The November 2019 edition presents government’s initiatives for rural roads which are smoothly transiting rural livelihoods and alleviating poverty among rural remote communities. In the last few years, we are also witnessing a shift in government’s initiatives for waste and water management. Unlike roads and highways, renewable energy, power and T&D, urban development and real estate; waste and water management remained a poor cousin when it came to funding waste and water projects. Drought in some places and flood in the rest has made the government to sit up and take notice of the catastrophe which will befall if water is not managed wisely and properly. On the waste management front spreading awareness and initiatives are not suffices. Policies have to be tweaked to bring in more investments for waste and water management. This edition also features interesting articles on latest technologies, latest happenings, interviews, etc.
