The government has given priority to Agriculture and its allied industry and has allocated approximately Rs 2.83 lakh crore for agriculture and allied activities, irrigation and rural development. The government has envisioned setting up of agriculture warehouses, cold chain linkages, reefer van facilities, doubling the farmer’s income, introducing Kisan Rail and Krishi Udaan, increasing funds for Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and one-product one-district scheme for better marketing and export of horticultural crops.
