IT’S HARD TO IMAGINE EVER DOING A “BEST OF” LIST FOR THE INDIAN OCEAN.
It’s too vast, too varied and too replete with five-star resorts fit for the trip of a lifetime. What we present in this issue is an all-star cast of Indian Ocean getaways (page 50) that offer something special for your next great escape; from colonial cliff-side hotels on Sri Lanka’s south coast, to diminutive islands in the Seychelles, dotted with lavish villas.
Our other 10-page inclusion is a little closer to home – 48 hours in DIFC (page 90). We explored Dubai’s own ode to Manhattan and Canary Wharf from the luxurious vantage point of The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre, with a little help from a Rolls-Royce Ghost. Dubai may lack a traditional town square, but at its heart there’s a dizzying array of world-class entertainment and lavish thrills.
