Cars seized after complaints
POLICE have issued a warning to boy racers after seizing vehicles in a new crackdown on illegal car meets across North Staffordshire.
Officers say the A500 and the A34 were both being used as 'race tracks' on Sunday night attracting multiple complaints from residents.
They seized a vehicle under section 59 of the Police Reform Act.
One driver received six penalty points on their licence after they failed to stop at a red traffic light and defects were found on their vehicle.
Officers also issued several Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) as a result of speeding and vehicles not being properly maintained.
