Potters boss Robins hails the talent of Lawal after pre-season performances
STOKE City manager Mark Robins described Bosun Lawal as 'a gem' after his latest impressive preseason performance.
Lawal, right, joined the Potters from Celtic last summer, but suffered an injury-ravaged campaign and only made his first start for the club on the final day at Derby County.
He helped Stoke to secure their Championship safety - and the versatile performer has since gone on to show why the Potters were keen to bring him to the bet365 Stadium.
Lawal had predominantly played in midfield in his career, but has also been utilised at centre-half as Robins continues his preparations for the new second-tier campaign.
