Ex-girlfriend tells Combs trial of abuse and threats
The Guardian
|May 15, 2025
Casandra "Cassie" Ventura, a former girlfriend of Sean "Diddy" Combs and a key witness in the federal sex-trafficking and racketeering trial of the music mogul, returned to the witness stand in New York City yesterday morning, as the high-profile trial entered its third day.
The singer, who is eight and a half months pregnant, began her second day of testimony by revisiting hotel surveillance footage of a 2016 assault by Combs.
She said he had shouted then thrown a vase at her. "I didn't get hit. I remember it hitting the wall," Ventura said. The jury was shown two photos of Ventura that she says she took after the assault, where she has a swollen lip. She said she also had a black eye beneath her sunglasses.
