Coming of Age @21

There is a sense of great achievement and delight when one finally turns 21!

Today I am so happy and proud that StyleSpeak – our ‘home grown’, made-in-India magazine has turned 21 this month. And that our effort and commitment to create a specialized magazine for this industry has succeeded!

Whether launching a magazine or a business - achieving this big first milestone makes all the years of ups and downs, the challenge of building of the brand, brick by brick absolutely worth it!

I started publishing StyleSpeak, a specialized magazine for the beauty professionals and services providers in India in 2002. It was a natural corollary to the IMAGE - first Beauty Show in India that was organized by us from 1997 onwards where we had the entire beauty industry come together in an exhibition, conference, hair shows, competitions and seminars.

Back in 2002 the service industry was just about getting started and international brands were looking towards India with anticipation and hope of exploiting the billion-consumer market. At that time StyleSpeak’s goal of supporting the industry with the latest industry information on products, trends, education helped the industry grow. And as the industry grew, so did we!

We are today so fortunate for the wonderful, strong friendships we have made in this industry! They have supported us as strongly as we have supported them, and for that I am grateful!

As I look forward to years and years of friendship and collaboration, a big ‘Thank You ‘to all our industry friends!
