We've been seeing more and more harrowing news stories about the harm that social media is doing to our children.

Their mental health is suffering, their self-esteem is being damaged, it’s affecting their brain development, they are being exposed to violent and sexual content and, in some of the worst cases, children are losing their lives. These are just a few of the reasons why Woman’s Own has come to the decision to call for children under the age of 16 to be banned from using social media, in our Young Minds Offline! campaign. We're speaking to real people with firsthand experience of just how dangerous social media can be, giving them a platform to tell their stories, and we're asking you to sign our petition for the government to implement a ban. Together, we can lobby for change and protect our children's future.
