After Linda Robson broke down over Pauline Quirke's dementia diagnosis, we take a look inside their lifelong friendship

Just days after it was announced that Birds of a Feather star Pauline Quirke, 65, has been battling dementia since 2021, her best friend and former co-star Linda Robson was in tears on Loose Women talking about their decades-long friendship. 'From 10 years old, we were at the same primary school and we did everything together,' she said in between sobs. In an emotional Instagram post, the daytime TV star vowed not to talk in length about her friend's diagnosis, saying, 'This will be the only time I speak on behalf of my best friend, Pauline,' but revealed that she had been in 'close contact' with the family and 'spent time' with Pauline in the three years since her diagnosis. Linda, 66, added, 'It breaks my heart to see her endure such a terrible illness.' Clearly this devastating diagnosis has made them even closer. Here, we take a look at their unbreakable bond...
