November 01, 2025

As city entered the solemn observance of Kalag-Kalag 2025 today, the Cebu City Government has rolled out a series of safety and behavioral reminders aimed at guiding families visiting cemeteries this All Saints' and All Souls' Day.

Residents are urged to plan their visits early and secure their homes before leaving.

The city's checklist included locking doors and windows, unplugging appliances, keeping valuables inside, and asking trusted neighbors to watch over unattended homes.

Authorities also cautioned against posting online that one's house is empty, a precaution meant to deter potential break-ins during the holiday.

Inside cemeteries, the reminders are equally practical and protective.
