DEEPAL G318: A super hybrid SUV cruises into the Middle East

Launching a new SUV in the Middle East is never ja casual exercise. This is a region where vehicles earn their reputation through lived experience — searing temperatures, long intercity commutes, gravel trails, and dunes that have humbled even well-established 4x4s. Into this competitive space arrives the DEEPAL G318, positioned as a bold step forward for a young brand betting heavily on range-extended electrification and _ intelligent mobility.

Yin Tom, Deputy General Manager of Changan Automobile’s Middle East & Africa Business Unit, explains the timing and concept behind DEEPAL are intentional. “DEEPAL was created to meet a very specific global shift happening in mobility,” he says. “Around the world, particularly in the Middle East, customers are looking for vehicles that combine premium experience, intelligent technology, long-range capability, and sustainability without sacrificing the emotional connection people have with powerful, well-designed cars.” That balance between intelligence and emotion, a software-defined platform wrapped in something aspirational, is where DEEPAL sees its opening.

“The Middle East, especially the UAE, is now at the perfect moment: infrastructure is ready, consumers are tech-driven, and governments are encouraging clean mobility,” he adds. The brand's swift rise with the S05 and S07 in the Gulf shows that buyer appetite is real. The G318 simply aims to expand that momentum.
