Beauty queen's tragic death

Shannon Biljon, Mrs Pretoria-Tshwane 2023 and founder of a charity that provided thousands of school shoes to children, has died at the age of 49 after a brief illness.
She died in hospital on Friday, just six days after being admitted with a fever that revealed early-stage kidney failure.
Her husband, Marius, said blood tests indicated Biljon was in the early stages of kidney failure, after which she was admitted to the intensive care unit.
It is believed her lungs and heart failed within just six days.
