Two people are still missing after a trio were swept away in a “freak wave” of water at Iscor during last week’s heavy downpours.

- Marizka Coetzer

Ward 1 councillor Leon Kruyshaar said only one body had been recovered after the flooding along the Apies River, west of Pretoria.

He said a deluge swept through informal settlements on the riverbank and led to the loss at least one death.

"Two people are still missing; if you have any information, please come forward," he appealed.

Kruyshaar said that the body had been found about 200m from the Apies River bridge.
