Police display the bladed weapons handed in during amnesty project

POLICE have released a picture showing some of the dangerous weapons that have been taken off the streets of Macclesfield.

Cheshire Constabulary held a knife amnesty as part of Operation Spectre across the county from May 19 to May 25.
Bins were placed at sites across the area for people to dispose of knives with no questions asked.
Locations included Hurdsfield Green, West Park, Deva Scout Hut, in Poynton, and Macclesfield town centre.
