Big Sam signs new deal with Silkmen

MACCLESFIELD FC's close season business got under way within days of their record-breaking Northern Premier League-winning campaign ending with the news Sam Heathcote had signed a new deal.

Silkmen chief Robbie Savage had stated he wanted to give as many opportunties as possible in Vanarama National League North next season to the players who had earned Macc promotion to English football's sixth tier this time around.
And the signing of 6ft 5ins defender Heathcote gets the summer off to a fine start for the club.
Heathcote joined the club in the summer of 2024 having impressed when playing against them for former club Runcorn Linnets, scoring a goal against Macc in the Cheshire Senior Cup Quarter Final.
