The Senate Committee on Public Accounts has strongly criticized key revenue-generating agencies for ignoring queries from the Office of the Auditor General of the Federation (OAGF). Chairman Senator Aliyu Ahmed Wadada, in a press briefing on Tuesday, expressed frustration over the failure of agencies like the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) to appear before the Senate.

The OAGF report submitted to the Senate uncovered massive financial irregularities. Wadada condemned the agencies' refusal to cooperate, stressing the urgent need for accountability. He also called for a thorough investigation into the CBN’s handling of "Ways and Means" transactions.
