Glad to have you with us during the Sinhala and Tamil New year.

Many preparations are made before the great event usually falling on the 13th & 14th of April. Age old traditions and rituals are enacted with much rejoicing as the country enjoys the blessings of the Sun God and a bountiful harvest. You will be able to witness and take part in the festivities as every hotel make elaborate plans, to give you an authentic experience of the celebration.
An interesting read as two adventurous visitors share their ’open carriage’ ride in a ‘tuk tuk’ in an exciting journey of discovery. Peace, love and ample surf to ride on, sample the delights of Arugambay one of the best surfing destinations in the world. From arid plains to hilly Kandy Pete Martin pens his adventures while on a cycling tour of the island.

If time permits, visit the newly renovated Colombo National Museum showcasing the historic and cultural heritage of Sri Lanka in one place. Museum of another kind at Giritale displaying specimens of wild life found in the Ancient Cities area in an natural environment would be an interesting visit, viewing awesome creatures at close quarters.
