PILLARS OF ETERNITY deserves a bigger space in the CRPG pantheon

My friends, I find myself at a precipice. What began as a simple and fun bit of CRPG domino theory - a playthrough of Baldur's Gate III leading into a playthrough of the original trilogy, then Fallout, and now, climactically, Pillars of Eternity has brought me face to face with my innermost demons.

Made me question things I thought were beyond question. Forced me look myself in the mirror and, voice shaking, whisper, "I think I like Pillars of Eternity better than Baldur's Gate III".
